Change brings the unknown into our lives. \u00a0<\/em><em>While this is certainly true, change can bring \u00a0about personal and professional growth. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We grumble when policies at work change, relationships change, and life in general\u00a0changes. \u00a0&#8220;This is the way we have always done it,&#8221; is often cited as the ultimate reason <em><strong>NOT<\/strong><\/em> to change things. \u00a0And when life situations force a change \u00a0we rigidly resist and often end up feeling disconnected, frightened, and depressed.<\/p>\n<p>The truth is that we are always undergoing some type of change each and every day. \u00a0It is how we\u00a0<em><strong>react\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>to that change that determines our growth potential.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>One important key to getting through change and coming out\u00a0<strong><em>better\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>on the other side is to understand and accept that change is by nature\u00a0<strong><em>HARD. \u00a0Our bodies, our emotions, and our spirits resist. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>We need to find the rainbows in change.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BEGIN BY LOOKING AT FOUR THINGS:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. What is the\u00a0<strong><em>best\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>thing about this situation?<\/p>\n<p>2. What is\u00a0<strong><em>worst\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>thing about this situation?<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0What could I find\u00a0<strong><em>positive\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>in this situation?<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0What could I\u00a0<strong><em>learn\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>from this situation?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Learn to embrace change as an opportunity to hone your\u00a0skills in adaptation, patience and\u00a0resilience. \u00a0Then watch your life evolve into something more magnificent.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;JUST WHEN THE CATERPILLAR THOUGHT THE WORLD WAS OVER IT BECAME A BUTTERFLY.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So this happens to us as well. \u00a0Just when we want to give up, throw in the towel, or feel that this\u00a0situation\u00a0will take us down, we emerge stronger, more powerful and beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>Next time change in your life evokes fear and you want to run, \u00a0take a different approach. \u00a0Stand, embrace and look with anticipation at the new\u00a0<strong><em>YOU that will emerge.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Embracing change,<\/p>\n<p>Teresa<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHANGE: Just\u00a0the thought of change in our lives can bring about exhilaration or primal\u00a0fear.
